The temperature favors trekking. The month is the moderate month for hotness and coldness. Higher altitude also remains warm and the night temperature reaches 9℃. You can observe a 20℃ fresh temperature during the day. The higher elevation gets windy. So, make your bag pack accordingly. Since the month touches the monsoon season, it may get rain at any time. Make sure you have all the items ready to face the rainy season.

Not only for this trek, Everest base camp trek, and every other Everest region trekking has this difficulty. The base camp lies at an altitude of 4,130 m. Due to a sudden change in altitude, temperature, and level of oxygen, you may get altitude sickness. 

Unpredictable Rain

The Rainfall may occur anytime during the trek. The month touches Monsoon season so, touches the rain. The trail may become slippery. Be careful while walking on the trail. 

Problem of Insects

The Spring season brings bugs and insects. You may need to fight Leeches and Mosquitoes much time during the Annapurna Base Camp Trek in May. You can take anti-leeches spray along with you.
