Surrounded by world’s highest peaks including Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, Annapurna and many more, trekking is one of the most popular adventure activities among the trekkers throughout the different part of the world. Trekkers prefer their own plan to visit Nepal and do trekking of their own but they have to choose the best time to experience the best flavor of trekking. June and July months are one of the best months to trek in Nepal. Generally, there are two ways of trekking in Nepal i.e. is Camping Trekking and Tea house trekking. Among these two tea house trekking is most popular in Nepal but camping also not far from getting famous these days.

During the month of June and July, Monsoon season keeps raining. The weather is mostly hot and wet. Rain can occur almost every day. The trail might become very muddy and difficult to walk. But after heavy rainfall generally occurs at night and in the morning the clear sky with great sunshine and crystal clear views of Himalayas are so pleasing to watch out for. You might be a bit confused if it rains every day then how can we walk and trek at higher altitude. But you don’t have to worry about it, there are many beautiful places which are rain shadowed. Some of the famous trekking spots that you can explore during the months of June July are

Ghorepani  Poonhill Trek
Ghorepani poon hill is well admired short trekking destination which is situated in Myagdi district at the elevation of 2874 meter. This trek also is known as Annapurna panorama trekking which offers majestic views of Sun rising in the morning. This provides the opportunity to experience the dazzling views of Himalayan Panorama along with getting close to the culture and lifestyle of local people. The striking views of snowcapped peaks like Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal and many more can be witnessed from here. The beautiful forest of Rhododendron forest brings more charm in this trek. During the month of June, the greenery paddy fields and terraced slopes are so fascinating to watch. The unique culture of the local people may surprise the trekkers as well.

Upper Mustang Trek
Upper Mustang is one of the rain shadowed region of Nepal situated near to Tibetan border at the elevation of 4300 meters. This trek is an ideal during the months of June and July. Mostly this region is inhabited by Tibetan people. The world in Upper Mustang is totally different from others as the ancient Buddhist Kingdom are well preserved which is so enlightening to look after. Upper Mustang is composed of snowcapped peaks and desert lands. Stunning green and dry landscapes can be explored during the trek. Similarly, the lifestyle of Tibetan people can be recognized. Sparkling views of snowcapped peaks and scenic beauty can be observed during the trail. Old and ancient Monasteries await us to be explored. No need to worry about the rain during the month of June after gaining the altitude to Upper Mustang. Upper Mustang is itself one of the driest places of Nepal. 

Jomsom Muktinath Trek
Jomsom Muktinath trek is one of the most thrilling and adventurous trekking in Annapurna region at the elevation of 3800 meters. During the months of June, July rain may not affect negatively in Jomsom and Muktinath. The weather is warm and cool in these months. This trek also carries importance of religion as Hindu and Buddhist people normally do this trek during the festival season. Not only by devotees but also normal people can do this trek in order to experience the natural and cultural beauty of the Himalayan region. Dazzling views of panoramic peaks can be observed while passing through stunning landscapes. World’s deepest gorge await us during the trial of this trek. Small and beautiful villages are another attracting features of this trek. Gesture and loyalty from the local people are heart melting. Many tea houses are available in this region as if it rains as well enjoying the rain sitting on the balcony is not that much worse. So, trekking in this region in June July is an exceptional choice to explore its beauty.

Annapurna Base camp
Another famous spot to trek during the months of June and July is Annapurna Base Camp. Annapurna Base Camp is situated in Annapurna region of Nepal at the elevation of 4130 meters. It is huge massif of mountain range varies between 160-230 km. During this trek in June rain may occur during the trek in lower elevation but as you gain altitude the weather becomes cool and warm. Generally, rainfall occurs at night and skies are clear during the morning which lets us experience the majestic and clear views of Himalayan peaks. This trek offers diverse landscapes, mind-blowing views of snowcapped peaks, terrace fields, beautiful quaint villages and explore numerous species of flora and fauna.

Everest Base Camp Trek
Everest Base camp trek is the most famous trekking spot situated in Solukhumbu region at the elevation of 5545 meters. This trek is also not a bad option to trek in June and July. This trek offers outstanding views of Mt. Everest and other peaks, explore Sagarmatha National Park, scenic beauty, and natural beauty. This adventurous trek to Everest base camp is so admirable. The beautiful forest of Rhododendron and green terrace field on the trail are so glittering to witness. Explore beautiful villages, interact with local Sherpa people and know their unique lifestyle and culture.  Nothing can beat the beauty of this trek. While trekking during the months of June and July, the morning views of the sun striking at the peak of the mountain is so fascinating to experience.
