About Everest Panorama Trek

Everest View Trek is the ideal alternative to the Everest Base Camp Trek for a short venture. It is quick and easy trekking in the Everest region, doable for people of all ages. Yes, you heard it right. Our Short Everest View Trek 11 days follows a gentle pace with ample acclimatization days to let your body and soul enjoy trekking in the Himalayas.

The Short Everest View Trekking route goes through the lush forests of Sagarmatha National Park and gradually ascends via small mountain villages, crossing thrilling suspension bridges and lovely streams. During the Everest Panorama Trek, you will get to see a range of Himalayan flora and fauna. 
After a short flight from Kathmandu, you will reach Lukla (2,860 m). From here, the adventurous Everest View Trek begins. On the same day, you will descend to Phakding (2,610 m) to spend the night. Further, you will head towards Namche Bazar (3,440 m). The route to this village is steep and rough at some points. Namche Bazar is the tourist hub of the Everest region with many modern facilities like ATMs, Wifi, cafes, restaurants, gear shops, etc.

Here, you will spend a couple of nights acclimatizing. You will hike to the famous Everest View Hotel and Syangboche Airstrip. Both of these places offer breathtaking views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Nuptse (7,861 m), Kongde Ri (6,187 m), Mt. Pumori (7,161 m), and many others. Further, Everest Panorama trekking ascends to Tengboche. It is a beautiful village that houses the biggest monastery of the Khumbu region, Tengboche monastery. 
You will be trekking through verdant forests of rhododendron and pine. The views of Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m) and Mt. Thamserku (6,623 m) is fantastic from Tengboche. At 3,860 meters, Tengboche is the highest point of Nepal Everest Panorama Trek. You will get to see the lifestyle of Sherpas and people from other communities. Welcome to Nepal, Upon your arrival in Kathmandu Adventure White Mountain receives you at Tribhuvan International Airport and drives you to the hotel. If your arrival is at the appropriate time then you can enjoy a leisurely walk in the streets of Thamel. It is a prime destination for foreigners. It is said that Kathmandu's visit is incomplete without strolling in this part of the city. Overnight in a hotel.

 Definitively the morning is good today as you will fly to Lukla enjoying the scenic beauty of mountains. The harmonious mountain will capture your heart. It is around a 30-minute flight from Kathmandu. There are lots of monasteries in Lukla and if interested you can visit there. We begin our trail on foot from here and it ends at Phakding for today. The team of porter guides will join you from here. The way to Phakding is so beautiful that you will remember it for the rest of your life. Hills, green lush vegetation, and streams will surely mesmerize you. We will put off at Phakding at night.

 We follow the route of Dudh (Milk) Koshi River to arrive at Namche Bazaar. Crossing pine, fir, and rhododendron forests we arrive at Monjo. The entrance to Sagarmatha National Park is Monjo. Furthermore, after walking for a few more hours we reach Namche Bazaar where we put off tonight. Namche is a big market in the Khumbu region. People of different ethnic groups especially, Sherpa inhabit here.

 Acclimatization means adjusting body temperature with increasing altitude in order to avoid altitude sickness. Altitude sickness can be severe so we take rest in some places. But, at the same time, we also enjoy the day. Today we visit Khumjung. The monastery at this place lures many tourists as there you see the skull of Yeti. It takes three hours to reach here. We get back to Namche and spend the night in the same tea house where we did put off earlier.

 It is an uphill walk today but not that hard. in your every step you will enjoy the Dudh Koshi River as the river flows below you. The way to Tengboche is really beautiful. You witness several animals and birds especially, Danphe (national bird of Nepal). Crossing Trashinga we arrive at Phunkitenga where we have our lunch. Trashing to Phunkitenga is a descend walk. We now move upward and cross pine and fir forests we reach Tengboche where we will spend our night. Tengboche is popular for a monastery which is the largest monastery in the Khumbu region.

 After breakfast, we start retracing the same route that we followed yesterday to arrive at Namche Bazaar. We will put off at Namche Bazaar.

 It is a comparatively lengthy route of around eight hours so you need to be mentally prepared for today’s trial. Most part of the trail is descending. In Lukla, you will get a chance to visit a few monasteries. There are lots of monasteries here. Lukla is also popular for local wine. You can enjoy today’s dinner with local wine. You will have to walk 6 to 7 hours a day during the trek, Depending on your physical fitness.

No, you don't necessarily need a guide to trek in the Everest region. However, we do recommend getting it for your safety. The trekking trails of the Himalayas are no joke, even for an experienced trekker. Plus, a guide or a porter will also inform you about the villages, locals and help you mingle. 

The major attraction during the Everest View Trekking is aerial views during the Lukla flight, a beautiful route through dense forests of rhododendron, pine, and oak, fine mountain villages, Namche Bazar, breathtaking views from the Everest View Hotel, Tengboche monastery, and lifestyle & culture of mountain people, and marvelous views of the Himalayan mountains.

You will stay in a cozy lodge during the trek. The rooms will have double beds with a few pieces of furniture and a shared/common washroom. As per your budget, you can also go for a luxury lodge stay. The meals will be provided as per the menu of the lodge. The menu usually has Nepali, Tibetan, Indian, Chinese, and Continental dishes.

You can get almost every gear in Kathmandu. We advise you to keep your luggage light and do heavy shopping in Nepal. It will also help local shops and contribute to the economy.

You can go on a few jogging or running sessions to increase your stamina before the beginning of the trek. Likewise, short hikes, swimming, and cycling are also great options to make yourself ready for the trek.

Useful Information

Best time to do Everest View Trek

From March to April and October to November is the best time to go on Everest Panorama Trek. Trekking in these months offers good visibility, stable weather, moderate climate, and clear views. The temperature ranges from 15°C to 0°C or below. 

Winter (December to February)is also a good time to do Everest View Trek if you can tolerate cold. The views in the winter season are jaw-dropping and unlike any time of the year. 

Everest View Trek difficulty

Everest View Trekking is a relatively easier trek than other famous treks in the Khumbu region. However, it doesn't mean the route is straightforward. The trail up to the Namche Bazar and Tengoche has its fair share of ascends and descends. There are steep and rugged sections along the way. Of course, you do not have previous trekking experience to go on Everest Panorama Trek, but good health and fitness are needed. Likewise, our Everest View Trek itinerary has ample rest days and a maintained increase in elevation, which makes it perfect for people of all ages.

Mode of transportation during the trek

During the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu, there will be a private vehicle to move around the city as per the itinerary. Similarly, a short flight will take you in and out of Lukla, the starting and ending point of the trek. Other than this, you will get an airport pick up and drop as per the itinerary. 

Electricity and Charging Facilities 

There will be electricity and charging facilities in Namche Bazar and Tengboche. Still, we recommend you carry an extra battery or solar charger. For your information, you have to pay a few extra bucks to charge your device at some places.

Sim Card and WiFi

You can get a SIM card in Thamel with data to use the internet. Wifi is available in all cafes and restaurants in Kathmandu. During the trek, the connection might not be stable all the time. Likewise, you can get WiFi in most of the villages along the way, but it can get slow from time to time with an unstable connection. You may have to pay a few extra bucks to use WiFi in some places.

Luggage

During the trek, we will be carrying a duffel bag as our main luggage. The travelers carry a daypack to store their essentials and electronics. All the extra suitcase and clothing is left in the hotel's locker room free of charge during the trekking period.

Child policy

Everest View Trek is doable for children too. They have to be with identified guardians. Get in touch with our representative to know more about our child policy for this trek.

Tipping to crew members

Tipping has become more of a cultural thing these days, and the best way to show your gratitude for the hard work of the crew members on the field. You can tip as per your liking. Usually, each trekker of a group gives $5 to the driver, $20 to the tour guide, and $100 to the trek guide and porter each.

Personal expenses 

The Short Everest View Trek 7 days package does not include shopping expenses or any personal expenses out of offered service. Extra drinks, dinners, and lunches are not covered in the package cost, and you have to bear it. 

Insurance, rescue, evacuation

During the trek, you will be accompanied by a professional Sherpa guide certified in first aid and has the experience to handle an emergency. Everest View Trek does not necessarily require travel insurance but having one will help you in a crisis. Make sure your travel insurance covers medical bills, flight cancellation, air evacuation, and loss/theft of personal property.
