Annapurna Region is located in the northern part of Nepal bordering Tibet. Entire region is protected by Annapurna Conservation Area. It covers the area of 7,629 square kilometers. Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Manaslu, Gangapurna, Tilicho peak and Annapurna l to lV comprises of Annapurna Massif. Most of these peaks are above 8,000m from sea level.
