Khopra trek is one of the rarely chosen trekking spots in the Annapurna region. The trek takes you to the heart of Annapurna region: the Khayer Lake. The trek is one of the new routes in the Annapurna region. Yearly, around ten thousands of visitors go for Khopra Trekking in Nepal. Further, you will be trekking towards Annapurna South Base Camp during the trek to Khopra.
The trekking credit goes all to the modern equipment and tools that made the roadways and internet available in the Khopra area. The trek will be completely new than any other treks in Nepal because you find very fewer people and lodges on the way. But, the views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges are evergreen. The mesmerizing views make your trek memorable till adulthood.
The best season to trek Khopra area is spring. Rhododendron and fir forest welcomes your trek. You get a chance to explore the beauty of Pokhara valley along with the wildlife of forest areas on the trail. Khopra trek is located between the Annapurna Base Camp and Jomsom trail. The trek begins after a flight or drives from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Many people start the trekking from Nayapul from where you reach to Tadapani. After a short time walk, you enter a rhododendron forest which gives the feeling of excitement.
Khayer Base Camp is the final destination of the trek. It’s located at an altitude of 4,620 meters. As soon as you reach Khayer Lake, its beauty adds excitement to the trek. After some clicks, we head towards the Annapurna South Base Camp. The marvelous view of mountain ranges attracts you. We head back towards Nayapul from the Annapurna South Bas Camp. Then, back to Pokhara and finally return to Kathmandu.
The massive earthquake of April 252015 destroyed many of the teahouses and lodges around the area. Now they are built again and it’s safe to trek Khopra region. The trail of the Khopra trek is already rebuilt. Everything is normal these days.
We will pick up you in the Airport and take to the Hotel.and in the evening you will meet your guide for the trek.
Our team crew will roam you around Kathmandu valley. Normally, we take you to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Basantapur, but can take to any place of your desire nearby
On the third day, we drive to Pokhara. This can be the boring part of the trek. But never worry at all; we play movies to entertain you on the drive. Also, the scenario makes your long drive joyful
The real trek starts on the fourth day. We shall drive for an hour to Nayapul and then walk for 5 hours towards Ghandruk. The traditional village and forest areas remove bareness from your mind.
We ascend up to the Tadapani (2590m). On the route, you can witness the magnificent views of mountain ranges
On the sixth day of the trek, we descend towards Modi Khola. And walk towards the terraced BhediKharka.
We ascend towards Khopra danda. You may get difficulty in breathing at this point. On this day, we explore the higher peaks like Mt. Dhaulagiri, and Mt. Annapurna.
We ascend for about 3 hours. The path is tedious and adventurous. The place is home of wild yaks and you can observe them on the way.
We descend back to Khopra Danda. The enjoyment and excitement continue as it was on the previous day.
The Khopra trek almost ends when you start trekking to Ghorepani. You get a chance to observe Sherpa villages on the way. The rhododendron forest and gorgeous landscape of mountain ranges make the trail thrilling.
After a visit to Poon Hill (3,210m, we descend towards Nayapul. We directly drive to Pokhara and then to Kathmandu.
