Everest trek is one of the admired trekking destinations of Nepal. Following the steps of Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary, one can explore the great Trans Himalayas of Nepal through this trek. Everest Short Trek is exciting and impeccable trekking for those who want to experience the world’s highest peak and many other panoramas in short period of time. Not only snowcapped peak but also the beauty around and Sagarmatha national park makes so pleasing to trekkers.
Generally trekking to Everest begins from Lukla. Our next destination from Lukla will be Phakding, where we can experience the astonishing views of Himalayas. Our trail now moves to Namche Bazaar-a beautiful town with all kind of facilities and markets. We will have acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar. From Namche Bazaar we will head straight towards Everest Base Camp via Thyangboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche. When we reach to our ultimate pot then we will explore Mt. Everest in front of our eyes. Close view of the highest peak of the world will make you feel like you are the pot of the world. Not only snowcapped peaks but also you will experience the unique culture of the local people of upper part of Himalayas. Similarly, we will also witness the many Buddhist monasteries and chortens, which gives us chance to learn about the ancient Buddhism.
After your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, our officer will pick you from the airport and take you to the guest house. After reaching to the guest house, there will some orientation and preparation of trekking.
Today we will have an early wake-up and catch domestic flight towards Lukla. During the flight to Lukla, we will witness majestic views of great Himalayas and hills. After reaching to Lukla we will have a pleasing walk up to Phakding. It will take about 3 hours to reach Phakding. We will stay overnight at Phakding.
Today we will be heading towards one of the beautiful towns of the Himalayan region. Early in the morning, we will start walking through Dudh Koshi River and crossing Hillary suspension bridge. From that bridge, we will reach to Chautara from where we closely peer the view of Everest. From that Chautara. We have to walk around 2 hours to reach Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a small and beautiful town where we can get every kind of facilities like internet, shops, and markets. We stay overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Today we will have to acclimatize session at Namche Bazaar. It is very necessary to acclimatize our body and altitude whether we can continue our walk in high altitude or not. Today we don’t only rest whole day but for best acclimatization, we will hike up to Everest view hotel to witness the Khumbu peak and Mt. Everest as well. We stay overnight at Namche Bazaar.
From Namche Bazaar we will move ahead towards Tengboche. The trail is decently filled with forests of birch and colorful rhododendrons. We will also able to witness the amazing view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam during the trek. We will also get chance to visit Tengboche Monastery during the trek, which is the largest monastery of this region. Overnight stay at Tengboche.
The trail from Tengboche is somehow similar to Tengboche. We will move ahead through the rhododendron forest enjoying the views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. During the trek towards Dingboche, we will witness the sizzling view of the Himalayas and Pangboche Monastery. Imja valley is the main gateway to Dingboche, after crossing this valley we will reach to Dingboche to spent overnight.
From Dingboche our next destination is Lobuche. Though the trail is a bit steep but this trail is also most important one. During the trek, we will experience the Khumbu Glacier. Similarly, we will witness some mountain ranges like Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and Mahalangur. From Khumbu glacier, the trail is simple and easy to reach Lobuche. Overnight stay at Lobuche.
And finally, today is our most important day of trekking. We will achieve our lifetime experience by climbing to the base camp of Everest. Though it may take about 3-4 hours of walk to reach base camp we will spend some hours there to explore it. After reaching base camp we will witness the majestic view of Everest very closely. Not only highest peak we will witness Khumbu glacier with icefall as well. And base camp is the main point to begin the Everest expedition as well. For overnight, we will hike to Gorakshep.
Today before we fly back to Kathmandu, we will hike up to Kalapathar. Kalapathar is the point from where we can witness 360-degree view of highest peak- Mt. Everest. After that, we will return to Gorakshep and start our flight. From helicopter as well we will have stunning views of Himalayan range including Mt. Everest. Our officer will take you to the guest house after your landing in Airport.
Today is the last day of your holiday in Nepal. According to your scheduled flight, our staff will drop you off at the airport for your flight to your home.
