Day

1 Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport

Upon arrival at the airport, our representative will pick you up and you will be transferred to your hotel. After refreshments, you will be given a brief about the tour.

The real fun begins from today as you will be visiting four UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites located in Kathmandu. We visit Kathmandu Durbar Square in the beginning. Here you get chance to see century old palace called Hanuman Dhoka Palace. Lord Hanuman (Monkey God) is enshrined at the entrance of the palace and due to it the palace is named after it. The Durbar Square is stretched at an area of five acres. Entire Square is divided into two quadrangles—outer and inner. The Hanuman Dhoka Palace is covered within inner part wehereas Kumari Ghar, Shiva-Parvati Temple, Kashtamandap, is located at outer part of the vicinity. Living Goddes (Kumari) lives in Kumari Ghar. She is worshipped as female energy and it the system of worshipping her was started many centuries ago when Malla dynasty ruled the Valley. Before the quake of 25th April, 2015 there were 50 temples in this area and at present there are around 20 such sites including Hanuman Dhoka Palace. From here we move towards Pashupatinath Temple. Lord Shiva is worshipped here in the form of Linga. It is the greatest Shrine of Hindu. The temple is located on the bank of Bagmati River. Bouddhanath is another place of our visit today. No any exact record is found regarding the foundation date of Bouddhanath. Some believe that the stupa was built by one of the Kings of Lichhavi dynasty more than 2000 years ago. The stupa is built in octagonal-mandala structure and is protected by wall from all side. There in the wall you can see 108 depiction of Amitabh Buddha. From here we move towards Swoyambhunath. It is located in a hillock. It is said that the civilization of Kathmandu Valley started with Swoyambhunath. The literal meaning of Swoyambhunath is self-existing. Legends say that Lord Buddha visited here and gave sermon to his disciples here. Overnight at hotel.

A 30-minute flight from Kathmandu will take you to Pokhara. You can have excellent views of the Annapurna mountain range on this scenic flight. From Pokhara you will drive on a bus to Phedi, the start of our trek. We reach Dhampus for the night.

At first we walk down to Modi Khola from Dhampus and then ascend to Chomrong. We will reach Jhinu Danda from the river bed and take some time to enjoy the nearby natural hot spring. From there we trek along to reach Chomrong, a Gurung settlement.

Today we trek deeper into nature enjoying the majestic views of Mt Fishtail and other peaks in the Annapurna range. The thick rhododendron forests along the trail make our trip colorful before reaching Sinuwa Danda. From there we trek through mixed forests of bamboos and rhododendrons until we arrive at Dovan and trek uphill for a while to reach Himalaya Hotel.

At first it is mostly a 5-hour uphill climb that takes us to Machchhapuchhre Base Camp. En route, we cross Hinku Cave at first and then move ahead past Deurali and arriving later at a glacier deposit. Although the walk today is demanding, we are rewarded with captivating views of Mt. Fishtail, Mt Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, and Annapurna First and Second.

The trek today is a short one, taking about three hours. The trail passes through high-altitude meadows and pasturelands in the alpine regions. Along the route today we will see a number of beautiful peaks. Later when we reach Annapurna Base Camp, we will have unbeatable views of Mt. Annapurna’s south face.

Today we rest for the day for acclimatization. We can do some sightseeing and take short hikes around for better adjustment in the high altitude. Today our guide will give you the quick training of handling climbing gears and equipment With enhanced skills and confidence, you are now ready for the ascent.

On a flat land, we comfortably set up our camp, but the approach is somewhat difficult. We have to walk across moraines and mountain passes covered with ice. We cross the glaciated mountain passes.

Today you will do a five-hour steep climb from Base Camp to High Camp. While the trek is difficult, the views are mesmerizing. Notably visible peaks are Annapurna South, Mt. Fishtail, Annapurna I, and Hiunchuli, the sight of which will make us forget our tiredness. We set up our high camp at a small flat area at 5,200 meters and spend the rest of the day enjoying the scenery and peace.

Immediately after midnight, we start our climb. At first we cross a glacier and reach a place with ice-eroded gulleys. Using ropes and gears, we now move towards the tip of the mountain. After standing at the top and savoring the majesty of the Himalayan range, we return to the High Camp.

Today we trek back from the High Camp to Himalaya Hotel, basking in the pleasure and satisfaction of a summit. Today you will trek for about seven hours.

Today we trek deeper into nature enjoying the majestic views of Mt Fishtail and other peaks in the Annapurna range. The thick rhododendron and bamboo forests along the trail make our trip colorful before reaching chhomrong

Today we will trek via different way instead of returning by same route we are returning to pokhara through the popular trekking route The trail passes through scenic countryside, and over the farmlands of wheat and potato. Then we go down to Khumnu Khola, and via Melanche, we pass through thick rhododendron bushes to reach Tadapani. Overnight stay at Tadapani.

Today is another day of trek along peaceful rural areas. In the morning we trek to Banthanti, walk past sublime views of peaks and thick forests to reach Deurali. Now we enter more into the region of human settlements. Later we arrive at Ghorepani where we can either stay in a lodge or choose an ideal campsite for the overnight stay.

Before dawn, we reach Poon Hill (3,195 m) to watch a mesmerizing sunrise. The views of sunrise over Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt Fishtail, and numerous other peaks in the Annapurna Range is simply wonderful.
