Shivapuri is one of the closest hiking destinations near the Kathmandu Valley, which offers amazing views of scenic beauty, the Langtang Himalayas, and eye-catching views of the Kathmandu Valley. It is located in the northern and northern west part of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2563 m. When you hike to Shivpuri Hill, you have different choices to explore it; you can enjoy views, there you can see the origin of the Bagmati River, and, more importantly, visit Shivapuri National Park, where there are numerous species of flora and fauna.

As the facts reveal, Shivapuri is the world’s closest National park to the capital city Kathmandu, which is also the second-highest hill near the Kathmandu valley. It is a short and easy trek that people can use to explore its beauty. The hike to Shivpuri begins early in the morning, riding in a vehicle for about 30 min to Nagi Gumba. On reaching Guma you also can explore the Gumba and learn about Buddhism and its ancient history. After that, you have to pass the permit before you enter the National Park. When you begin your hike, you will realize you have a worthy effort to explore the natural beauty. In the National Park, there are more than 500 species of animal which have been preserved by the government. Your hike continues through the trail of beautiful rhododendron forests. Similarly, birds and monkeys on the way to the hill may give you company, which may not bother you while walking.

Day 1

Hike to Shivapuri and Back to Hotel

At 6:30 am in the morning Having Breakfast and head to Nagi Gumba. Then after visit and explore around the Nagi Gumba.

at afternoon- Explore around the Shivapuri hill. Enjoy the amazing views of Kathmandu valley, Langtang Himalayas and natural beauty. During the hike you will witness various species of vegetation as well as animals that has been protected here. Take pictures and have some real exciting time around the shivapuri hill. and Around 16:00- You will be back to Nagi Gumba again to return Valley. Private Vehicle will already be there to pick you up. After reaching Nagi Gumba you will back to hotel to stay overnight.
