Pisang peak climbing offers radiant Himalayan views of Annapurna trekking region. This pinnacle is thought to be one of the busiest climbing peaks in Nepal. Trekkers with little involvement in climbing can join the world popular Annapurna circuit trek from here, so you can also have the experience of trekking in the Himalayas in Nepal. Pisang crest transcends the village of Pisang and yak pastures in a uniform slant of ice and snow up to the summit. Considered one of the moderate crests to climb, it consolidates well with the trail of the popular Annapurna Circuit. To achieve the base camp from Pisang town, the way rises through sparse woods and fields to Kharka at 4,380 meters (14,366ft). While Kharka is considered the best place for setting up the base camp, you high camp is set up at 5,400 meters (17,715ft) and then the summit is endeavored by means of South-West edge.
Pisang Peak has been a fascination for trying mountain dwellers without a decent climbing knowledge who can have an essence of mountaineering in Nepal and brilliant trekking at a solitary trail. For the most part we take after the Annapurna Circuit Trek from Beshishahar to Pisang town to achieve the pinnacle. With a stature of 6,091 meters, it was opened for moving by Mountaineering Association of Nepal announcing it a Category "B" climbing top. Kathmandu valley is the historical center of Nepal. After breakfast, you will visit Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath. After lunch, you will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.
This day will mark the beginning of your trek. After breakfast you will drive to Besisahar, 180 km northwest of Kathmandu. It takes around 6-8 hours on a tourist bus to reach there. The route is lined with scenic views of hills, forests, rivers, and local villages and towns.
Bahundanda is mostly inhabited by the Brahmin community. As you move away from Khudi, you can see the magnificent Annapurna mountain ranges. Along the route, you will be come across terraced fields, waterfalls, dense forests and rivers. Finally you will reach Bahundanda, where you will stay for the night.
As you move ahead towards Chamje you will descend through amphitheater-shaped rice terraces along a steep vertical cliff with lush forests. You will then gradually walk uphill after crossing the Marshyangdi river suspension bridge. Another one and half hours of walk along rocky trail, and you will reach the village of Chamje.
You will continue walking through the terrain right above the river and reach Dharapani, adjoining point of Manaslu trail. One more hour of trek will take you to Bagarchhap village for the overnight stay.
Today you will proceed to Chame. You will walk across steep forests but don’t forget to look up though, as you will have sensational views of some major peaks before reaching Chame. Chame, the district headquarters of Manang, is a beautiful mountainous town with astounding views of Mt. Lamjung and Annapurna II.
Today you will have to walk through the narrow and steep path followed by a dense pine forest. Continuing the journey along the riverbank, you will reach the orchard of Bhratang where you will take a break for tea. Then you will follow the forested path and rocky trails before crossing the suspension bridge and then climb an hour to get to lunch spot at Dhukur Pokhari. You will spend the night here.
You will spend the day acclimatizing, in order to gain altitude and plan for forthcoming trips. We recommend you to take short hikes to nearby villages. The region is beautiful with a lake and a beautiful monastery with a magnificent backdrop of Annapurna and Gangapurna ranges in the south.
Today you will head closer to the peak of Pisang. From Upper Pisang village, the path ascends through sparse wood and pastures to Kharka at (4,380m) which is considered as the best place for setting up the base camp. The area lies in a flat alpine section along the well-worn trail from where you can enjoy beautiful sunset view of Annapurna range.
In another adventurous day, you will walk through rough trails up to high camp. The climb gets difficult as you will walk along the southwest ridge for about four hour to get to high camp.
Today you will reach the summit of Pisang Peak. Your guide will fix the rope and lead you to the successful conquer summit of Pisang at 6,091 m. Once at the summit, you will celebrate your success, take pictures, and have astounding views of the surrounding mountains that include Annapurna, Gangapurna, Chulu and Tilicho.
This is an extra day which is allocated to permit for unfavourable weather or for the sake of rejuvenation. If you need, you can take a rest or if the summit is done, we can return and rest in the base camp.
After climbing a peak in the Nepalese Himalaya, you will head towards Gyaru, a village in Manang district. From there, you will move ahead taking the western route to reach the hidden valley of Nawal for the overnight.
It is a short and easy trek today. As you will walk towards Manang, you will be captivated by the incredible views of the towering above. The beautiful village of Manang has contrasting and superb landscape and vegetation.
You will leave Manang village and proceed to Yak Kharka leaving the trail to Tilicho Lake on the left and continue with a short walk ahead. You will then make a gradual ascend where the route turns right to Yak Kharka.
On this day you will trek to the foot of the pass called Thorong Phedi. Thorong Phedi is small but busy settlement catering to the needs of trekkers and climbers. It is situated at the bottom of the popular Thorong-La Pass.
Today you will cross the popular Thorong-La Pass (5,416m). It is an unforgettable experience, reaching the highest point of Annapurna Circuit. You will be exulting after the experience of crossing this pass and then reaching the sacred site of Muktinath Temple. Muktinath is a pilgrimage center for Hindus and Buddhists alike. Shrines can be seen erected in a grove of trees. Hotels and camping sites are restricted in this area.
Being a religious destination, in the morning you will visit the temple of Muktinath. There is also a Buddhist Monastery nearby. Afte magnificent views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, you will proceed to Jomsom.
In the morning, you will catch a 30-minute flight to Pokhara. You can spend the day in this laketown full of natural beauty. You will visit Fewa Lake and also other interesting places like Devi’s Fall, Gupteshwor Cave, International Mountain Museum, and Bindyabasini Temple.
After breakfast, you will either take a flight to Kathmandu or drive to Kathmandu via tourist bus.
