To get real picture of Langtang Region Langtang and Gosaikunda Pass Trekking is best option. Despite being long trail of 17 days it is one of the easiest trail of the country.

The other side of this trail is that it has several things to offer for the trekkers. Besides mountains and lakes, the trail rewards you with flora and fauna. It is that very trekking where you get chance to see Red Panda. It is one of the endangered species of earth belonging to bear family. It is commonly known as Cat Bear. The site is home for more than 350 species of birds.

More than six species of rhododendrons are found here. The trail also offers cultural outlook of Nepal especially, Sherpa and Tamang culture. From mythological point of view, you get chance to enjoy Gosakunda ( Gosai-lake) here.

Day

1Arrival in Kathmandu

Adventure White Mountain Will receive you at international airport of Nepal, Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to hotel. Today you can enjoy Thamel as it is one of the cream touring sites of Kathmandu. Tourists believe that Nepal visit is incomplete without visiting Thamel. You will spend night in a hotel.

The real fun begins from today as you get chance to witness at least four UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu. You visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambhunath Stupa and Bouddhanath Stupa. Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is regarded as Historic City and Kathmandu Durbar Square is a lively example that speaks about the history of this nation. The site covers five acres of land. Hanuman Dhoka, Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinatha and Bouddhanath are the main place of our visit today. We will spend night in a hotel.

After breakfast we drive to Syabrubeshi. It takes around seven hours to get here. On the way you will enjoy scenic beauty of the countryside Nepal. The houses, terraced field farms and lush green vegetation sighted on the way fascinate you. We stay overnight in Syabrubeshi.

After breakfast our tail begins. We arrive at Wangal at first. We follow steep path to reach Khanjung village. From here we further walk for half an hour and it brings us to Surkha. We pass through forests enjoying steep climb. A descend trail begins from some part of the way and following it leads us to Syapogoan. We will spend night at Lama Hotel.

It is a beautiful walk today. If you are lucky enough then you can see few mountain animals like blue sheep here. After around five hours of walk we arrive at Ghoratabela. A further half an hour climbing from Ghoratabela will take us to Langtang Valley where we will spend night.

It is comparatively a bit long walk today of around seven to eight hours from Langtang Valley to Kyanjing Gompa. The scenic beauty of trail is really nice and pleasing. We reach Langtang village within three hours from Langtang village. Here we take rest for few moments. The people of this area are really warm and charming. Further walk of around four hours will bring us to Kyanjing Gompa where we will stay overnight.

It is a rest day or acclimatization day. In order to adjust body temeperature with increasing elevation we take rest on trekking. This will help in avoiding altitude sickness. The two viewpoints of Kyanjing Gompa namely Kyanjing Ro (4,800m) and Tserko Ri (5,000m) are popular vantage point to get view of few snow-capped peaks above and windy path below. We go to Tserko Ri and from here we get chance to see Langtang Lirung, Langtang range, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji and the Glacier, if the weather is clear. We put off at Kyanjin Gompa.

We get back to Lama Hotel today. We will follow the same route which brought us to Kyanjing Gompa from Lama Hotel. We put off at Lama Hotel.

It is a descend trail following rivers. We cross the river and ascend tro be at Thulo Syabru. Here we stay at night. This site is popular for the view of Langtang Himal and few fauna such as Red Panda.

It is a release day for you as you do not need to walk for longer hours today. We arrive at Disma. While arriving here pass rhododendron forests, hemlock, and oak trees. The beauty of lush green vegetation will fascinate trekkers in this area and this is one the reason for the popularity of Langtang Region Trekking. We arrive at Sing Gompa where we stay overnight.

After breakfast our trail begins passing through rhododendron forests. The area in between Shing Gompa and Lauribinayak is especially protected area as lot of Red Panda are found here. It is one of the beautiful endangered species. It is also known as cat bear and falls under the category of bear. It feeds on bamboo shoots. We further pave the way towards Gosaikunda. We spend night at Gosaikunda.

Following rough trail and enjoying the scenic beauty our walk goes ahead. The small lakes on the way are really beautiful. There are several lakes here sized from small to medium. We ascend to arrive at Lauribinayak. We reach Phedi and passing rocky hill further leads us to Gopte where we will stay overnight.

Walking through dry riverbed and passing rhododendron forests we reach Kharka. Kharka is known as grazing land where people bring their cattle during summer. To be at Thare Pati you ascend abit. The view of Jugal area from the village of Thare Pati is everloving. We further walk until we reach Melamchigaon where we will stay overnight.

After breakfast we begin our walk. It is a day when we enter to Helambu Region. Helambu is popular for apples and Sherpa culture. Sherpa are indigenous ethnic group with distinct culture and tradition. Most of them follow Tibetan Buddhism. They are also regarded as Mountain Man as climbing peak in Nepal is almost impossible without their assistance. We will put off at Tarke Gyang.

A pleasant walk will take us to Gangyul, a Sherpa village. Sherpa of this area follow Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism which is a national religion of Bhutan. We spend night at Sermathang.

Shermathang to Melamchipul Bazaar is a short walk. We cross few Sherpa village to arrive at Melamchipul Bazaar. From here we get on bus to arrive at Kathmandu. In Kathmandu you get time to roam around the streets of Thamel. IN the evening Adventure White Mountain will offer you farewell dinner. You stay in a hotel tonight.

It is a last day of our Nepal stay. A representative of Adventure White Mountain will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport three hours earlier to scheduled flight. See you soon!
